  A troubling visit with a satisfying end.

  so, i've been out for 2 years now.

  just picked up and walked away from the wacky religion that tried to control every part of my life through fear and guilt.

  i've been wondering as the months go by what would happen when an elder finally showed up at my door and pressed the issue as to why i ceased all activity and then tried to reactivate me.

  How do you know the letter never existed?

  You seem to know a lot about it and seem to post a lot only about this, so i have to ask you what is your relationship to Frank Otuo?

  Sounds like a lot of greed going on there and always someone gets stung in that mix.

  We had a couple of different people like that too,one ended up an elder, always looking to make a quick buck and not too fussed about how, stepping on anyone in their way and suing anyone unfortunate enough to get on the wrong end of their dealings. They dont garner any sympathy from me.

  Going to meetings to "save face."

  going to make this short and sweet but i need some advise again and i kinda need to vent a bit so sorry.😢.

  so it has been weeks since the wife and i have been to meetings.

  it has been nothing short of wonderful!!!

  However it can feel too like you're condoning things.

  That is exactly what it amounts to, the more people sitting at the meeting the more it stifles those with doubts ability to wake up as they are lulled asleep again with the thought of the "all these people believe it too" mentality.

  There will come a point where you cannot stomach being there any longer.

  Just to add, by the phrase "been destroyed", I was under the impression you meant that the fraud accusation was proven unfounded, not that the actual letter of accusation had been destroyed.

  There is a rather large difference between those two scenarios.

  You didnt need to go to a meeting to hand in keys and a book did you? There are always other ways.

  If living your life to save face is the aim then you will be forever on that treadmill and never pleasing yourself. Dont do it.

  "an unhappy creditor" according to the newspaper, so he was lent money for his business and failed to repay some or all of it. No doubt he would have been given ample opportunity to do so.

  How has the allegation of fraud "been destroyed"?

  If you have the evidence that that is the case then lets see it please. Otherwise you are asking for leaps of faith.

  Not wishing to defend the wts here, but it seems likely to me simply on face value that he was DF'd based on his having taken someone elses money and not paying it back.

  Unless there was some other stuff going on that escalated into that situation and he felt he was owed the money he got, then I cant see why someone would accuse him or why the elders would deem sufficient evidence to start a JC and then actually DF him, unless he had actually taken the money.

  But hey, I wasnt there, I dont know anything, I'm just saying what it looks like on face value.

  So personally, I'd be very wary of jumping in to support someone in this position unless you have inside knowledge of the JC and are pretty damn sure he didnt actually defraud someone.
